# Why there is no KYC

Dexsport does not require KYC. Your account is active as soon as you register, whether you signed up with email, Google, Telegram, or a Web3 wallet, and no documents are needed at any point. There is no identity check to pass before you can bet, and no verification queue to wait in.

## What KYC normally means, and why it is not here

KYC stands for "know your customer". On most betting sites it means uploading a passport or ID, a proof of address, sometimes a selfie, and then waiting for a person to approve it. Until that is done, withdrawals are usually blocked.

Dexsport works differently because it works on crypto. You fund your account from your own wallet or exchange, and winnings are paid from the shared liquidity pool back to a wallet address. There is no bank card and no fiat rail in the middle, which is the part that normally forces identity checks.

## What this means in practice

You register, you deposit, you bet. Nothing is held pending review, and no withdrawal waits for a person to approve your identity.

The one identity-like step exists only if you register with a Web3 wallet, and it is not KYC. You sign an authorization request in your wallet to confirm the login. That signature costs no gas and does not move your funds.

## What can hold up a withdrawal

A withdrawal can be delayed, but not because of documents. There are two reasons:

**Wagering is not complete.** Every deposit has to be wagered, with or without a bonus. In sports and esports, place bets at odds of **1.3** or higher, and each settled bet makes its own winnings withdrawable. In the casino, slots need bets for the deposit amount (x1), while live casino and other games need **twice** the deposit (x2), so every bet there covers half of itself. Sports bets closed through Cash Out do not count towards wagering. The cash bonus and the cash free spins pay out sit on a separate bonus balance with its own x40 wagering and unlock only after that is finished.

**The network is slow.** Sometimes a transaction takes longer to confirm on the blockchain itself. If a withdrawal stays in "pending" for a long time, copy the transaction hash from the Transactions section in your profile and send it to support with your nickname.

## Closing an account

There is no delete account button in the interface. Contact support and ask for the account to be closed. If it is about gambling, say so: in that case the account is closed permanently, with no way to open it again.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://dexsport-3.gitbook.io/dexsport-docs/getting-started/no-kyc.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
